St Tysilio church Menai Bridge

This tiny and accessible church is situated on an extraordinary promontory on Menai Straights. From its little island location (now reached by a prrmant path), you have great views of both Brittania Bridge and Menai Bridge which connect Anglesey to mainland Wales. Anglesey is actually an island. Tysilio founded a prayer cell here living as a hermit.

It is a wonderful  little church, open, loved and welcoming.

As we sit to pray a very cheerful angel comes up behind us, puts its hands on our shoulders and says ‘You are so welcome here. Receive God’s blessing’. He wraps his wings around the pair of us. We both enter into such a deep rest we are virtually asleep. It is a refreshing time of peace.

Afterwards we walk up the small hill by the church which gives views along the straight and is a good vantage point to pray. It is easy to see why Tysilio chose this place to live.
