St Ruan’s Church, The Lizard, Cornwall

St Ruan’s church is in the town of St Ruan. This is another ancient Celtic site, so as I entered the church I waited expectantly.

I found it to be a wonderful place to praise God, with an open heaven. I entered a vision where I was alone on a grassy narrow path except for being flanked by two beautiful angels. The moment was holy, reverent with an awareness that we all walk with God as individuals. It was a reminder, especially as we enter another COVID lockdown, that we are alone with God and will face Him alone when we end our days on earth: not something to fear but now is the opportunity to truly get to know him. Ultimately, we can’t rely on anyone else’s faith when we stand before God.
