Llanfechan nr Builth Wells,Wales
Years ago, when I first had the vision of flames around the Celtic lands, two places were highlighted. One was Brecon and the other Builth Wells in Wales.
I’ve visited Brecon many times to pray over the last 30 years but just a few to Builth Wells and even then I’ve not felt much happened. However on the pilgrimage in 2026 to Wales God led us to pray just outside Builth Wells at a tiny hamlet where Celtic Christianity had been established. The church was nondescript and we sat in the churchyard to pray. I am always slightly surprised by what God has in store and this encounter was very surprising.
Llanfechan church nr Builth Wells
Sitting in the church yard at Llanfechan I’m aware that we are sitting on a lan; an ancient Christian circular enclosure probably from Celtic times (500AD).
As we settle to pray, I can see in the spirit a tall blue angel standing in front of us. It is holding a pulsating opaque, golden globe, the size of a football, in both hands. There’s movement both within the angel and the globe. It’s as though the angel itself is made of water. I can see water flowing through the angel and within this angel. As we sit on the bench, the angel moves towards us, opens its wings and enfolds us within them. The golden globe is right in front of us. I hear ‘Put your hand on the golden globe and decree, ‘May the deposit of glory that rests in this place, that brings living water to the dead and to the thirsty, be released once more.’ So we pray as directed, in the name of Jesus ‘Living water, glory of God, deposit of God that rests in this place, be released once more. May the prayers of Christians down through the centuries that have been stored within the incense bowls in heaven now be released, in Jesus’ name.’
As we are praying I see a living flame rising up where the angel is, replacing the globe and I know we have completed what was asked of us.
I can’t pretend to always understand these leadings of God but I do seek to be obedient to prompts like this.
