Psalm 1:6

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous

You ‘watch over’ me

You ‘care’ for me

You ‘protect’ me

You ‘guard’ me

You ‘look after’ me

You ‘supervise’ me

What close attention you pay me, not from a distance but up close and involved.

Lord, help me to recognise that you really do care about me and are looking out for me with good intentions. Thank you that I am made righteous because of Jesus taking my place and punishment. Therefore, I can trust in your care and protection. What an awesome privilege to have the Lord of the universe intimately caring for me. Thank you.

It reminds me of when Jesus talks about his care even for the sparrows. Matthew 10:29-31

Sparrows are seen as inconsequential birds yet not one falls to the ground without God caring. Yet we are much more important to God and this reaffirms his great love for us.
